Alright, it isn’t really mud, it is clay, but close enough! I have been taking classes from Denny over at the Pottery Den for about 2 months now and I finally feel like I am starting to get the hang of wheel-throwing clay pots.
Denny had a show in Licking on Friday, so I watched the shop for him for a few hours and got to throw two pretty decent pieces! I had the idea to record them, mostly so I could see what I actually looked like I was doing, but then thought that all you might be interested in seeing as well.
This is the link to the first pot and this is the second. They both need to dry to leather hard and then I can trim them up, even out the edges and flatten the bottoms before letting them dry the rest of the way to be bisque fired. Then just have glazing and glaze firing left and they are all set!
